There are 2 forms of magic used regularly in Satanism: lesser and greater magic.

What is greater magic?
Greater magic is the ritualistic practice, intensive energy work, and spell craft.
Wait a minute, but that's all magic right?
No.
Lesser magic deals with what else-- the mental direction of personality or in other words non-ritualistic and manipulative.
The basis for all magic is the shifting and changing of energy. Well this regarding lesser magic is what our minds, our personality, our body language, does with magic.
Lesser magic is the manipulation of others' emotions and actions or pretty much having your way with them.
Lesser magic includes 3 types:
- Sentiment
- Sensuality
- Wonder
Let's begin with Sentiment, it is using compassion and a soft exterior to further your effect on others. Use the sentimental value in relationships to persuade. It's time to be cute and sweet. This is the sweet old lady who doesn't really need help but manages to get every young man to help her with the groceries. Next on the list is Sensuality, or using your sex-appeal against their sexuality. Really dazing them with grace and beauty, suggested behavior isn't even necessary. Now it's Wonder. Wonder is the the next best thing to intimidation. Using mystery to give off a harmful demeanor; a good example of this is the ''evil eye''.
Lesser magic is not exactly actual magic. In fact the best example of it being considered is the Salem Witch trials. You'll notice that those they prosecuted and killed were sweet old ladies (using sentiment), gorgeous young women (sex), and that mysterious lady who never comes out of her house and has someone that does all her grocery shopping for her (wonder).
